You have many opportunities to visit Aquileia!

You can either buy online the entrance tickets to the cultural sites of the city or choose the FVGCardAquileia, an all-inclusive pass to explore the World Heritage Site and its treasures, with a wide range of exclusive services.

Alternatively, you have the chance to go to the ticket offices and choose the most suitable solution for your tour (Bookshop of the Basilica in Piazza Capitolo 4 and Bookshop of the National Archaeological Museum in via Roma 1). The FVGCardAquileia can be purchased at the  PromoTurismoFVG Infopoint, situated in via Giulia Augusta 11, at the Pro Loco Infopoint, located in Piazza Capitolo 4.

How to get to Aquileia

Aquileia is located a few kilometers from the lagoon of Grado and the UNESCO site of Palmanova. The city is easily accessible by public transport, has areas for campers and is connected to the network of regional cycle routes thanks to the Alpe Adria Radweg.

BY CAR

On A4 motorway, exit at Palmanova. Follow the directions to Aquileia-Grado on SR 352 road. As you reach Aquileia along via Giulia Augusta, follow the silhouette of the Campanile to reach Piazza Capitolo, 1.

BY TRAIN

Railway Station: Cervignano-Aquileia-Grado. Then, take public transport (Tpl buses) to reach Aquileia. Get off at “Aquileia Centro”, then follow the silhouette of the Campanile to reach the Basilica (5 minutes’ walk).

BY PLANE

International Airport of Ronchi dei Legionari. Then, take public transport (Tpl buses) to reach Aquileia. Get off at “Aquileia Centro”, then follow the silhouette of the Campanile to reach the Basilica (5 minutes’ walk).

The entrance to the archaeological areas is free and it not required the reservation.
